COLORING
9. Now it's time to play with colors. For this piece, I'm going to make the collage to start with a 'muted' tone because I'm going to use quite a few layers on colors only.
I don't want it to look too contrast or vibrant in the end.
Create a new layer on top of the last layer.
And then FLOOD FILL it with #182253 or any dark navy/blue tones, then change the layer mode to EXCLUSION and the opacity to 70%.
10. Create another new layer on top of the blue exclusion layer, and FLOOD FILL it with #FABC89,
change layer mode to COLOR, with 32% opacity. Now it looks more in the 'yellowish' tone.
11. Another new layer. Now I'm going to use GRADIENT FILL from here. I select my GRADIENT tool 
and go to the OPTION, by clicking on the gradient box
If you click on that box where your colors appear, you will get the gradient colors' editor window
You want to use the SOLID type, with SMOOTHNESS 100%. You can see the 3 little boxes/paint boxes pointing to the colorbar.
To change one tone in there, ie. the first color is yellow there. Click on the first box with the yellow paint, when it's selected the bottom part of the settings will be activated. You can delete it if you want to have 2 tones.. or you can change the color by clicking on the colortab option.
If you want to add colors just click anywhere on the colorbar, a new little box will appear automatically and you can click on it and edit the color/position on the bar.
So I use those 3 tones you see above in this layer. I drag the GRADIENT FILL from left to right on the layer,
and Change the layer mode to COLOR BURN. Name this GRADIENT 01
12. Too dark for my taste. I create a new layer underneath that gradient layer GRADIENT 01,
and then FLOOD FILL it with any creamy/off-white colors you can find. Turn the layer mode to SOFTLIGHT.
13. Now go back to the very top layer, and create a new layer. We're going to add a new gradient. Name this GRADIENT 02.
I use this combination for this layer... 
with layer mode COLOR BURN and LAYER OPACITY 74% and LAYER FILL 70%
